3 year old Panasonic Lumix FZ-1000 with Panasonic Lumix DMW-FL360L ttl flash. Gotta have an external flash in the hotshoe to get pics worth a darn.
I didn’t want to spend a lot on a Canon 7d or even 5d as I don’t want to mess with removable lenses. I wanted a pro-sumer camera that’s still a good point and shoot with decent zoom, but with lots of settings. This thing was less than $1000 for everything and takes half-decent pics.
Only drawback is video recording. It’s got a focus stabilizing motor that’s ALWAYS busy even when focus doesn’t change so there is obnoxious motor noise. You can hear it in the videos. But pros use external mics anyway or boom mics that somewhat cannot pick up the motor noise.
