I love that laminate stock. How did you make the cheek rest?

Cheers. The cheek peace I bought from Blackpool rifles here in the uk. I modded it to fit. Unfortunately I don’t think they sell them any more.

I agree, Ash….they are awesome guns. I’ve had about 5 or so since they first came out and really enjoy them. I’m down to one now, (probably should have hung onto the last one I sold, looking back).. and truthfully that will be the last Airgun I sell. I tried almost every high end bullpup out there and keep coming back to the Colibri, as it has everything I like & need in a hunting bullpup..
.Mike, I concur that Kalibrgun should have done something new & fresh lately but they really haven’t. Imagine a Colibri action on one of the new Carbines in .25 caliber? man they would sell a million of those in a heartbeat…I’d buy one..

Oh well…

Yup there’s not a lot not to like about them really other than the stock but I got that sorted.

Kris,
I almost snorted coke out my noise when I read you statement on FX,
12oz can of coke, The kind you drink,
That was funny,,,
COPY: Behold FX is spilling out defects with blowpipe instead of barrel and still going strong. they should have kept the production going.:

Mike

the reg housing was flimsy, was galling or something. basically you did not have many goes to adjust the reg before it fell apart or something. aluminium /material and wall thickness issue. nothing what could not have been fixed or uprgraded too.

who knows maybe there was something with Evgeny leaving the company back then, no idea what was his role in the Birds design.
you can still see some common design elements in Vulcan for example.

hopefully they are redesigning that fekking square shroud currently for the next version.

i never bothered about the semi auto functionality, they messed up pretty much. Behold FX is spilling out defects with blowpipe instead of barrel and still going strong. they should have kept the production going.

I guess they just listen to there own drummer, Or something like that,
They stop importing the 177, The 22 short, and the Bird.
And its been a while since they have come out with something new.
Mike

It only really failed as a semi auto also heared some of the Mk1’s were not cycling properly. Then they improved it and brought out an improved version. Looks exactly the same from the outside but made a few changes internally. Personally I think the colibri is a great gun. Only thing I didn’t like was the stock and I had to fettle the trigger a little. They are Awesome little guns.

I never understood why everyone called the bird a failure , When everyone sucked them up and the price went up.
and you never found one at a discount, But it was a Kalibrgun Mistake,,,,,
The Bird has had me confused since it came out?
Mike

Thanks

wow that stock is sublime! :8:

Done! Thanks :winkn:
