Q:

Vulcan or Cricket?

Hi guys, planning to buy a bullpup in 22. I’m confused with Vulcan or Cricket. Both have very good reviews. Please help with your thoughts to decide one.
Thanks,

Wajed zain 100%.
For English speaking friends it means “it is very Good “.
Above all that I believe it’s price is less.
Wish you good luck.

honestly I never considered the Taipan worth considering until you said some great things about it.

Shokran.. thank you again.

now, I am seriously attracted to the Taipan…who knows, maybe I will get one myself…. inshallah.

Hellow my American / Kuwaiti Arabic fluent friend :biggrinn:
The Tipan I have is Veteran Short in 22 cal. As I said it is shorter and lighter than all my other bullpups having better trigger , easier cocking and mag indexing and superb accuracy. The standard Taipan Veteran is a bit longer and heavier with a lot more shot count. I have to mention that all my other bullpups are as accurate but in a way or another the Veteran is better in other specs.

shokran gazelan habibi..

you make me think seriously on that Taipan…hmm.. maybe the Taipan Standard. I need more shot count with a bigger reservoir.

wajid zain hada Taipan?

I wish I could come back to Kuwait… :winkn:

I have both cricket and Vulcan along with Matador R3M and A few months back had my Short Taipan all in 0.22. It is the best of all. Although it is Short not Standard i get 55 shots of 870fps JSB 15.98 gr. With a 220-115 bar fill. Superb trigger, shoulders perfectly and lighter and shorter than all. Great accuracy down to 0.38″ ctc for 5 shot at 50 yds.
Definitely a Standard Taipan will give more shots.

marhaba habibi… keif hal?

are you saying the Taipan Short or Standard is better than the Cricket, Vulcan, and Matador, all in cal 22?

Another vote for the Taipan Veteran.

Save your time and money.
Go for the Taipan Veteran Standard .22..
CZ Barrel, improved regulator and transfer port.
Also the best factory trigger available…

Mutant? I have two Crickets and a shorty Mutant with a fancy stock on it. I have that Mutant trigger tweaked to near bench rest quality. My edge goes to the Mutant. I can’t speak to a Vulcan.

I have both Vulcan and Cricket in .22. And after doing a side by side comparison for shot count, accuracy and handling, I have to say it’s still a tough choice. Cricket, very accurate, 50 yards 3/8″, with the tune I have, shot count is 55 shots before dropping off reg. Trigger is very smooth and crisp at 3 oz. Only down side that I can think of is cocking handle is at the rear of gun making follow up shots a little slower.

Vulcan also very accurate, 50 yards 1/2″, My Cricket will out shoot the Vulcan but not by much. With the tune on my Vulcan, shot count is 78 shots before dropping off reg. Trigger is also very smooth and crisp also at 3 oz. Now here’s where the Vulcan feels much better, the cocking lever. Up front and easy to cock, and very smooth.
I find myself grabbing the Vulcan every time I go to the cattle barn for some bird shooting just because it’s faster to reload a pellet compared to the Cricket. Both guns are set at 860 fps. hope this helps…………………….. :4:

my vote goes for the Vulcan.
