Veteran trigger won’t work

I managed to put it all back together. Changed the cocking lever to the other side whilst I was at it, but now once I cock it the trigger doesn’t work.
Yes, I forgot to engage the safety when I was disassembling so this is probably the cause.
Question is, how do I fix this now?
