Q:

So, what would you say if someone told you Kalibr is coming out with a Cricket .30 ?

Would you be stoked, indifferent or just wouldn’t understand the need for ?

I had a 30 caliber rifle of another brand, but after i bought it, I determined that I didn’t have any need for it, since I’m not a hunter. I do have a Cricket .25 which shoots 60 fpe and with Ratsniper slugs, I’m sure it can dispatch any critter that needs it.

Talking factory Cricket .30 …I know that there’s conversions out there.

No, but if the .30 Cricket becomes reality I will sell my current quiver and buy me a power tuned .25 and a .30 Crickets

I think it would be great as well as wise for them to release a .30. Did your inside guy clue you into possible pricing? Perhaps even on par with current Cricket .177/.22/.25 pricing?

Let’s just say I heard a little very well connected bird mentioning it being only a few months out :biggrinn: :biggrinn: :biggrinn:

It would be spectacular a cricket carbine .30, but it’s just to know or you have information about it ?

The thing about a 30 cal for me is …

I shoot a .177 Cricket Compact the most and then the Mutant Shorty .22 second and then the Cricket std .22 a little bit and finally the Edgun 30 cal which is reserved for raccoons and other bigger critters like an occasional coyote. Maybe 200-300 shots per year now tops vs 5000 shots for the .177 and another few thousand shots for the .22s. Most of my shooting is backyard pesting by far. IMO a typical backyard shooter which is most of us just doesn’t need a 30 cal much. They are not really backyard friendly because of energy rather than noise for me. I get some terrific sounding ricochets too which help make it an occasional use gun and it is tougher on targets, etc. My backyard is acres and woods with a giant hill/backstop behind me but 75+ ft. lbs. is just getting to be a lot of energy approaching a weak 22 LR. I can’t imagine it in a typical subdivision.

😉

Agree on all counts, …….a .30 cal is not to replace typical .22 and .17 use

Your mileage may vary. 😉

Well, anyway it shot the standard .357 JSB 81gr pellet really, really well.

But this post was about the real possibility that Kalibrgun is coming out with a .30 cal Cricket,…..from factory not cooked up by some tuner.

.
Yes, I remember I ask you a while back if you shot Michael 9 milly.
The actual bore size measurement is about .354″ and if sized down the accuracy improved.

Actually I shot the Cricket .357 when Went had one and shot the JSB 81gr real well and they chamber just fine, …..just like every other .357 airgun I had or shot.
