Thak you much.

The gun is supposed to shoot the 18.1. You get a spike because the HS and regulator are not appropriately set together. The regulator’s job is to keep a set pressure in the plenum. To exhaust the plenum, you need valve dwell time(VDT). This VDT is regulated by the hammer/hammer spring. If the pressure is too high and the hammer too low the dwell time will be made less by the force of the plenum air sitting on the valve. In this case, you get a short stroke. Suddenly you hit the valve, and the pressure is lower in the tank than the regulator set and the valve is free to open more. When the HST and regulator are not working together, the gun will have a spike in speed the last few shots of your now unregulated gun before the pressure is too low to produce enough speed.

To fix this problem you first must find the first peak of the regulator. You do this by making sure the air tank is above the regulator pressure. You will then turn the HST up until the speed drops, return the HST to the point where the speed was the highest. Now back the HST off until you are approximately 10 to 15 FPS less than the 1st peak. Tuning your EDgun this way will allow you to shoot below the regulator pressure between 5-10 bar and have a beautiful sharp drop in speed when the gun becomes unregulated

I can’t answer a question that only you can tell us.
It depends on your gun/barrel and what it likes, you need to cheak it with AA and EDgun pellets as well.
Heavies did there best for me/my guns at 880 – 920 fps, and for some 960+.

Don’t know about the heavies, but the 15.89 gr Exact Jumbos shoot like a laser at 915-920 fps.

Because you go off the reg. Reg is usually set to 130 bar. Shoot between 200 and 135 bar.
