Q:

Changing pellet probe O ring

Hi all

Can anyone guide me on changing the O ring on the pellet probe in my Vulcan Mk3 .25?
I cant find any video or photo of disassembling just to access this part.

Also, what do you guys use to lubricate the cocking mech or hammer?

Thanks

I use a cleaning rod once the o-ring is out. Push the cleaning rod in from the muzzle end just to where it’s before the 0-ring groove. Lube your o-ring and insert into chamber. Keep your finger over the hole and push the rod in until o-ring drops into groove. Works every time for me and it keeps your 0-ring from turning sideways. I use moly 55 to lube internal parts after I’ve polished them.

Zonk

There is just enough place to get to it, use a sharp sewing needle(the smaller-the sharper the better), stab the o ring, to get it out. make sure you don’t touch/scratch the barrel.

I would not take the barrel out, too many screws! When you are doing it I would check the pellet probe end too that is under the cover inside the action if the screws are not completely lose in ther

To get it back probably you want some wooden rod, or plastic or fibre glass showed back from the muzzle end to support a cleaning pellet or similar so the new o ring won’t fall through into the barrel, you are supposed to make a 8 shape before inserting it, takes time but you will get there, you can use a match or toothpick again no metallic something. don’t do it it the dark room.

If you have a side lever, and can’t lock it back it will be a pain in the ass for sure
Good luck
