Cricket help please
Hi there
Just had some work done on my cricket when i went to fill it it was leaking from where you turn grub screw to release air from cylinder I thought I tightened it back but it’s still leaking and I think grub screw is buggered any suggestions please and does anyone know what size grub screw it is please

Never had that happen to my guns before, hope someone with better expiriance will chime in!
But drilling out would be my last result.
Make darn sure first by pressing the value in to zero presure.
I’d look for a good quality brand of screw extracted that fits into the hex hole tightly.
It maybe needed to be deepen though.
Giving the hole in the hex a couple of taps with a nail punch before extracting may also help loosen it up.
Also it been known that cheap hex wrenches are the most cause of rounding out the hex screw heads …… buy some tight fitting quality will save you on the headaches.

Thanks for advice but how do I get old grub screw out ? Should I drill it out ?
They’re are a couple of ways you can try to stop the leak.
But make sure you still have the little ball bearing that is inside leading the set screw.
1) Some have successfully seal the leak by adding a shortcut off of a 3mm O-ring and place it into the AT out hole.
I believe it was placed between ball bearing and the hex screw ?
2) Use a bit of blue loctite on the set screw and let it set overnight.
3) Remove both the set screw and the ball bearing and use this in its place.

After stopping the leak I’d think about not bleeding out from the factory AT out anymore.
Buy or make a degasser to go into the HST way ……
