I lived in Seattle for quite. few years and remember the floor at Boeing rolling like two or three inches in a wave rolling towards me! I grabbed the nearest steel girder and hung on! The bog 747 engines hanging on the rails were swinging like kindergarteners! I remember going through at least three quakes that size!
Living over on Vancouver Island, BC we still get the quakes but our house is on bedrock and never shakes! We have lots of 2.0’s that are fairly shallow and of no significance.

My friend in Puna on the Big Island said he was outside watering his yard when a aftershock quake hit.
It was so hard it scared the shits out of him he had to hit the ground to keep from falling over.
While looking at the grown he could see the ground huge ripples like the waves on the ocean !
Some were unfortunate and lost their home from the lava flow …….
