I must be getting old & arthritis must be kicking in…but you must be a lot more skilled than I am…
That’ the issue right now. My buddy that made both these shorty levers dont plan on making any more levers due to the levers taking too long to hand make. Its pretty easy to create left handed levers (just flip the lever upside down and tap the hole for the aluminum tube, screw in your bolt & your done). I’ve asked him to mass produce these levers & he plain & simple said “not interested” unless he purchases a cnc machine…
I have learned to reach across with my left hand and cock my 22 mutant , I just lose my eye on the scope for a second ,

Lol@ T. rex arms that’s funny! I’ve got couple thousand shots. Cocking my mutant that way. Are you planning on making it reversible for shooting lefty?
I rarely to never cock the Shorty when shouldered. That position is very uncomfortable unless you have arms like a T-rex (I’m not saying you have arms like a T-rex) That’s how I cock the Shorty lever now, pulling back the lever w/ my index & middle finger & closing the lever w/ my thumb. I think I understand what you mean by machining a tube for the top/upper side of the lever so theres more aluminum to grab hold of. That’s an ideal but Im happy w/ the lever now. I appreciate the thought though.
Yes it 2 mm closer to the stock is good. But you moved my hand position nearly an inch backward. I’ve shouldered my mutant and tried the new hand position. Just don’t feel right. Maybe if you add a thingie to the top where you could cycle it with the index and middle finger and bumping it closed with my thumb.
Levers 2mm away from the stock…
My buddy & I thought about anodizing the lever black but havent gotten around to it. Prob make her last a lot longer but we’ll see.
I dig it. I wonder if it’d need to be hard anodized or not. I’m not even sure if the factory lever is hard anodized.
You’re right I didn’t read about it. A pix is worth a thousand words and just a honest opinion from the pix.

I asked my buddy if he’d wanna mass produce these lil levers to sell? He told me if he had a cnc machine he’d probably do it, but for now he will pass on selling them. He took 8 hours to create 1 lever so thats a lot of time & patience. Thanks for your comments.

I can only talk about the guns I own , Mutants, Veterans , Crickets ,
But that lever looks way cool.

I don’t blame your friend, it’s not cost effective nor feasible nor lucrative an endeavor just making onesies, twosies. Cnc, yes.
Regarding the hard anodizing, it also ads a bit of strength to the surface, not just surface finish. Stronger than regular anodizing.
