Vulcan # 2 in 177
Got my 177 vulcan in , Cocking arm on left hand side sucks for me any way, Went to change it and one of the tiny torx screws was already striped , 177 Pellet 10 gr JSB pellets had a few jam on me , Stuck past the cocking probe.
Can not see any reason why the gun is jamming, Unless I am cocking the cocking arm to far back and the pellet is just falling back in the breech behind the pellet probe . Also there is major puff of air hitting me in my eyes when i fire the gun,
I cleaned the barrel tonight , So I am not saying anything about accuracy in till I get to shoot it with a clean barrel, Lots of black junk
Its as loud as my 22 Mutant un muffled , a very sharp crack, Yep Donny will get some money from me.

I already switched to the right side,
Pretty easy to do,
Smooth easy cocking and no jams,
Kind of a case where the right hand did not know what the left hand was doing.
I noticed a lot of the other lever cocking guns are on the right side?
On my Mutants and Crickets I reach across with my left hand and cock the gun,
Can not do that with the Vulcan, Not yet anyway, :rofl: :rofl:

Vulcan 177 clams 4 dead euro doves all at or close to 40 yards, JSB 10,34 gr pellets,
I have to clean each bird pluck the feathers and check entrance and excite holes before I feed them to my turtles , Make sure no pellets are inside bird.
The excite wound was pretty big for a little pellet, Impressed me,
I could be wrong dealing with this 177 caliber but I think the 8 gr poymag is just to small for damage,
I did run it across the chrono five times before the sun set, 10.34 gr shooting at 962 FPS.
I still try and reach across and cock the gun, No big deal I will learn,
I think I am really going to like the vulcan for a walk around bird gun,
I will have to count the shots some time , The gauge moves just a little bit.

Damn Mike, 100 shots, that would be awesome. My .22 Vulcan gets 77 shots before it drops off the reg and I think that’s good. Still waiting on my starlock fasteners to show up………………….. 🙁
Looks like the .22 Cricket will be getting a workout till then. :8: :8:

Your right them tiny little 177 pellets are hard to load.(fat fingers )
But I can shoot, and shoot and not use any air at all, Three mags from 220 bar to 200 bar , Well a little over three mags about 40 shots ,
Just ordered a few tins of 13 gr JSB pellets so chrono testing coming soon.
I bet I could get 100 shots out of a fill ,
Like to know how you 22, 25, and 30 cal guys are doing ,
Its like every bird around knows I got a new gun,
Its just been so hot here nothing is flying or moving .

Yep Mike I broke a screw the first time I took mine apart. My brothers a machinist and he got it out for me. I bought a bag of screws on e-bay, have a few left.

the puff of air came after the jams,
the stripped torx screw was my fat fingers ,
Anyone ever work on a Vulcan the Torx screws are tiny.

OK, another day, step back, Tapped torx screw out, Found allen head screw that will fit,
Switched cocking arm to right side, Just feels better to me, Super smooth and not so clumsy feeling Just takes a light clean pull, I think I might have been a little hard on the left hand side pulling action, Being big STRONG and stupid has its draw backs, :rofl: Cleaned everything up barrel and parts ,
About 40 shots , No jams at all , I think it was my left hand causing the jams, Or maybe the magazines loaded in my pockets walking back in forth to target?
Still getting a little puff of air but its better, Hard to see down that little barrel,
LAZER, Its on par with the Crickets and Mutants, But it looks like I am shooting tighter groups because the 177 pellet is small.

Did not get to drag the crony out either to day,
I got the ones off Tony in his test firing , But Texas air is different than Florida air .
Not a bird one stuck his head up anywhere?

Old version had 4.5×1.5 o ring inside the barrel, currently I am using 4×1.5 just fine too, you need certain skills/patience to install new o ring, good luck with that
Feed it manually after you sorted the o ring I would suggest so you can see more.
Sorry I have never seen a vulcan2. only on sniperqty videos, show us some pictures if you can with details,
Old style pellet probe had a steel middle pin, brass body, I never had it catching jsb s even the jsb express which have a small hole inside the skirt by design, matching the pellet probe.
Does it have a blow back on the valve stem like the old model? Or is there an o ring there now?
The Vulcan always had a noisy action, not only the springs causing it but also the air.
That screw is a bummer, do you need a barrel clamp or something it is stuck in or you got the screw out
Take it easy from now on it can only get better

Yes I did dry fire it a couple of times when the pellet jammed , Its almost like the pellet probe hole is to big, The pellets get jammed back in the probe?
I will do some testing latter to day.

Did Tony test fire it Mike?? If so he should have felt the puff of air himself. I have a few of those tork screws left if you need a couple Mike.
