Night vision project

So I was sitting on the deck killing a large mio sweet tea. And 6 ft away a large rat strolls by me like we’re old buddies! Looking to put some thing simple on a 4x scope. My idea of simple. https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Waterproof-Infrared-IR-HD-Monocular-Night-Vision-Helmet-Telescope-Hunting-AM/282795537446?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
Figure with a combo of this and IR floodlights and a bait station. I might have some night fun.
Another piece to add https://www.ebay.com/itm/Night-Vision-Weapon-J-Arm-Mount-for-NVG-PVS-14-6015/351906496256?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649.
Well seems that my red dot is non compatible with IR. Going with this https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vortex-Optics-StrikeFire-2-Red-Green-Dot-With-Cantilever-Mount-SF-RG-501/161994017087?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

Sight Mark settings for gen1 nv I can’t make out reticle. Same for gen2 setting. My IR illinator battery took a crap and the spare wouldn’t even charge lol. Oo oops forgot the sight is a great sight the sidebyside laser cool beans :8: :5:

Sight Mark installed piece of cake, monocular same. I like having multi reticle the best. Pretty sure I won’t need the extra light mounted put it on any way.

Dropping the crosman stuff, bnm breech just not enough rail room on either breeches. Nobody wants to trade mutants so looks like the STD. Vortex strike fire 2 out. Trying this https://www.ebay.com/itm/Sightmark-Ultra-Dual-Shot-Pro-Spec-NV-Sight-QD-w-Laser-SM14003/162920361946?epid=4021964476&hash=item25eecf6fda:g:~zEAAOSwSKtaa8Ki

So far the cheap monocular with the digital IR format way better sight picture. And the vortex not really a good match up.i’m not great shooter when it comes to red dot. Crosshairs reticles is where it’s at for me.

Wow sent the seller a e mail saying it wasn’t delivered to my mail box. 5 mins ago doorbell rings guy from amazon hands me a amazon prime package. Yes was the Firefield.

This sucks seems the fire field was delivered at some parcel locker here in the sub division. And not in my mail box, I hate these newbie mail persons.

The light pole worked out perfect. Knocked the squirrel right over looked to be dead on. Could make out the hole in the sillioutte really good. Now what to bait with?

Went ahead and bought this scope the other day. From what I’ve experienced from the monocular with the dot sight. Not able to focus the setup at 2X from what I can tell. So I thought I’d give this s try.

More pixs of portable light stand.

Here’s a view through the monocular from 14 yds.

Ok had the light in the wrong place. The squirrel sillioutte was a true sillioutte, I shot at it 2 times. Hit it both times but never knocked it over. Single shot reloading in the dark, going to need a lot of practice. So this morning working on portable lighting.
Brain fart! Just so happen out in the shed is my 18 year old portable IV bag holder. Left over from home health after my transplant.

My target for tonight.

Floodlights made it going to be plenty ir light. Working on setting up the deck gun for the job.

IR floodlight if I get it high enough pretty sure one will cover the backyard

Every thing made it. The j arm adaptor that came with it is plastic junk. I bought a metal one but it’s not a whole lot better.
Had to use the thumb screw from the helmet mount. Kosak was only thing scopeless. Just seeing if it’s going to works out things looking up. Still waiting on IR floodlights to show.
