More great shooting! Some of you guys really do good. I’d be happy to do a inch at 40 yrds. I only have a 60 ft backyard, must be nice to have access to so much area to shoot…

If you look at my signature pic, thats my property. I have 5 acres thats heavily wooded in the back half. My best shooting lane is to the southeast, but there is a house over there about 200y so I have to be careful. First time I heard a 42gr pellet ricochet, scared the shit outta me. Those things are going a very long way.

Most of the time I shoot in the backyard (north). My fenced portion is exactly 43yards from corner to corner, so thats my primary shooting distance.

You guys are damned lucky to get EJs to shoot. In both my barrels, the domed EJ shoot so bad. Every time its 2″ or larger groups at 25 yards.

The pointed .25s shoot ok, but not great. I haven’t tried the 32gr .22 yet.

🙂 saugus18 thank’s.i’m very fortunate to have a shooting bench in my basement and 100yrds to the back of my property.it’s actaully 103yrds to my target but whats 3 yrds.i have to get a compressor because i know have 2 great shooting airguns and i want to shoot them all the time.

🙂 riff i tried the ej’s in the .22 and they were very accurate.5 shot’s at 50yrds 9/16″ and had 4 shot’s @ 100yrds 1″ then i shot 2 more shot’s for a 6 shot group and it was 2 1/8″(should have quit at 4).i just shot some jsb’s again @ 100yrds today with calm conditons and 5 shot’s went into a 1 1/4″ group.i think i’m going to stay with jsb’s at 40fpe they are just so flat shooting it isn’t even funny.i’m zero at 53yrds and only alittle over 8″ low at 100.

I would bet the EJ will hit about 935fps in .22, and about 870 in .25. Might not be fast enough to get those big boys accurate, but try them anyway. Your barrels are definitely good ones with clusters like those.

🙂 riff the .25 has one of mark’s valves in it and is tuned to shoot kodiacs at 925fps and the .22 has a blodnob valve in it and is shooting jsb’s at 1058fps and kodiacs at 985fps.i shot some ejs the other day and i was impressed.i didn’t get to chrono them yet but i will when i get more.

I just noticed your valves appear to be custom made. What kind of velocity you getting from your .25?

🙂 knife and riff thanks there was a crosswind.i do see a difference between the .22 and .25.the .25 is bucking the wind better.

🙂 marc thank’s the barrel in the .25 is a 18.5″ lw.

🙂 bikin i shoot at my house and that’s as far as i can get so 100yrds is it for now.

you should try 150 and 200 yrd groups.

That are some really nice groups. The GP AF guns are some great platforms!

What barrel did you use in the .25

Regards,

Marc

Maybe by the weekend. Will see if I get another calm morning.

Looking forward to seeing a 100 yard group with the .25 there Riff!

Thats about the same results I get when I compare the .22 to the .25.

If any wind is blowing at all, horizontal spread is the result. I never had a totally windless day shooting the .22, so I never got under 2″ with it at 100y.

The .25 shoots .5″ in mild to moderate winds @ 40 yards all day. Wind doesnt seem to affect it much until I shoot further than that. I still havent targeted it at 100y, but I plan to.

As long as you don’t clip, you should no negative effect on accuracy.

The .25 is printing very well! Looks like the .22 is being blown around a little. Slight cross wind?. I always thought the .25 would do a little better here in the Texas wind!
