Q:

Hammerless PCP’s – Is This The Future?

While this gun/implementation is kind of junky (Huben K1 ๐Ÿ™‚ ) the concepts are new and amazing IMO. Just look at the boat-tail “pellets” this thing shoots. It really does seem to have the potential to replace a semi-auto 22 LR in concept.

Getting pretty good accuracy with a 33 grain .22 bullet at 1000 fps. (3/4″ at 50 yard – just over an inch at 95 yards) Much more efficient and faster lock time. These bullets have a very high BC (0.185 vs 0.031 for a 16 gr 22 JSB pellet) and break from the limitations of pellets. A huge range increase which is good and bad depending on needs. No hammer slap. Very quiet. Much higher velocity out of a shorter barrel.

Looks like the one coming up, The power of the new guns really have me impressed. Go with heavy pellets or slugs or tune them down, Sounds nice,
Mike

A VERY reliable semi auto would be nice, I could go for that.

nOT SURE ABOUT THIS NEW GUN, But I thing its release will be 2019 or so, Looks like a hammer less system.
I really have no need for a full auto, a semi auto maybe if the trigger is very good.

I think itโ€™s a great concept, but I would rather have side lever and removable clip. It could also be setup in a pellet model or slug, just use different barrels. They maybe better off to lease the tech to another company that could push it further. Daystate comes to mind mix that with mtc….

Very interesting indeed. So if it only likes the precast bullets, sounds to me that it has limited use. Why just not use a .22LR? Where I shoot birds at, there are houses within half to three quarters of a mile making this gun unsafe with the angle I shoot. Would it be fun to play with, sure. But cost wise on these .22 cast bullets, it would be expensive unless you cast your own.

The whole hammer less thing is a little over my head, But I have watched that gun since it came out.
Kind of funny I have not seen any other guns use the hammer less action.
Or if there out there they slipped by me ,
Mike
