older model vulcan side cocking upgrade further improvement
for those with older Vulcans:
I managed to improve the side cocking, when i pull back the biathlon lever now it stays back in the very rear position so inserting of the magazine is not a problem anymore
the cylinder what rides on the barrel has to be shortened in the front side to allow a longer spring to be fitted, i can take some photos or write down the spring specs later. :8: that cylinder is hardened steel or something it took me a while to shorten it on an angle grinder
 :8:

right, so that original short spring what is on the barrel has to come out and be replaced by a longer from above.
Plus you will notice you can see so much more from the new long spring as the guide tube what rides on the barrel is also shortened on the front 4-5mms. That is irreversible modification so the original short spring will be too short if you do that. so no going back.
it is heavier to close the lever now as you compress the longer spring but it swings out nearly on its own and has no slack PLUS it will STAY OPEN for easy mag change or single loading.
the 60mm spring is too long, i think 50mm is better length but it all depends on how much you take off that hardened steel slider/guide…
the gun side is wide open… not great only in Vulcan 2 they closed up the hole on the side, it must be that plate is reversible thats why it is as it is, i would prefer to see less from the spring really. So far working nicely.
These are still great guns, i have not found any newer better yet
