power settings
im using crosman accupels in my condor.
waiting for eun jins to arrive.
on full power they got 1200 fps.
i turn them down to 1 setting and still go 1080 fps
does the power settings not effect the lighter pellets?

Ah… I got it, must be fun to blow feral cats away. I hope you shoot them in the head…
Plus a real nightvision device cost a lot. 😛

we use spotlights here in NZ
its a whole different type of hunting
more of pest reduction.
go out on quads, 4×4’s or walk with a spotlight in one hand and gun in the other
shoot opossums, rabbits, feral cats, hares and anything else that is worth taking

Night shooting is one thing. Light gathering ability is another. The nightvision scope is what you need at night. But, I found that for night shooting at close ranges, compact rifles with small, low power scopes are the best. That assuming that you are still have some kind of light, moon, electric poles, back porch light, etc. If it’s pitch black, forget it, get a nightvision device.
haha, bit hard here in NZ with the scope height from the barrel for close range possum shooting.
also i have brought a new scope 3-9×56 for light gathering abilitys at night lol.
and its not long enough to fit on the condor so the condor will be the day gun

Actually, I’d say before you try anything, check and see how you like the eun jins. If you like them a lot, and they are accurate, they should be shooting right at the maximum speed for great power. You’d be right where you want to be if you are looking for ftlbs.
The power wheel is not a very reliable method of power adjustment… rather, use it for fine tuning hammer preload for some consistency. Try adjusting the tophat to control power.

i shot one on the run with my gamo cfx at 50m’s
it was running away from me aimed at the top of its head and smack right through the back of its head 😀
we have pig sty’s and that on our farm and that attracts the cats.
also the grain feeders for the wild ducks, the rats come and eat it and makes some great shooting
