Q:

Quick/cheap heavy hammer

I you’d like to do some testing with a heavier than stock hammer, but don’t want to spend the bucks on a test, here’s a cheaper alternative. Check out your local hardware store for bronze bushings. The biggest one my local store stocks is a 3/4″ id x 1″ od x 2″ long, which happens to be a perfect fit, and is the same length as my original delrin hammer. Weight is exactly 75 grams, vs. about 50 for the stock late model Talon hammer. The only thing I did to prep it was chuck it up in my lathe and polish it a bit, stuck it in my rifle and started shooting. I don’t remember what I paid, but I think it was around $5. So far so good, will post more later if anything changes. Later.

I didn’t find any difference so I put the AF hammer and Condor weight back in……The Bronze bushing seemed to be louder..High pitched clack…

hi guy’s
I have tried different weight’s but found not a lot of diference
has any one else found this

Anyone know the weight of the Condor hammer and weight combined or seperate…?

The answer is….
Hammer = 48.4 grams
Condor weight = 19.3 grams
Total = 67.7 grams
