UK vs USA hobbyist machinists.
It was a small job, I needed to bore-out an aperture on the adapter of my silencer so it would slide over the barrel instead of sitting on the end of it. An American would have gone to his lathe in the den, I went out and bought an 89p ($1.80) cone-profile grindy-stone, fitted it to my drill and introduced the adapter to it. Job’s a good’un. 😆
I would like a lathe though. And a drill-press. And probably a bunch of other machinist goodies too. Just for a laugh you Yanks should pretend you’re British and make like you’re trying to buy stuff online in the UK. See how far you’d get before you went screaming mad. “Yes, it does cost that much, no we don’t have the really good one, and the stuff we do have is out of stock. Try America.” 😆

Yer daft, mate, if yer thinkin you can find anything good across da pond, yah? You got all the best stuff right there; 2 stroke motorcycles, for crying out loud. Be thankful for what you have. Oh, and please don’t do that thing with the grinding stone, it really makes me cringe. Next time do what the yanks do; call their friends with a lathe in the garage (not den, the den’s still technically within the home and therefore the providence wherein the missus holds sway).
