Any plans for the one year anniversary of this site?
Congratulations to all you “Founding members”!! Thanks for making a place for me to come and learn and hang out. This is my home page and my morning “newspaper”. Are there any plans to celebrate the one year mark. Thanks again

From what I’ve read that’s the impression I got as well.
It didn’t help that the site was owned by what appeared to be a religious whack job who gave “sermons” to the membership. If I had been a member, I would have no tolerance for it and left. It’s good to know the history, good, bad or otherwise.
No bad memories Sammy…. looking back it was all kind of amusing (I was a short timer on TOG). But it really is like Tony said. Ninj, WOK, Tron and others pulled this off. Tony is backed by the A Team.
Lama really did make that post and it seemed as though that was the last straw as I think TOG imploded shortly thereafter. 😆
I didn’t mean it to be “digging up old garbage” more as a “how did we get here” “history lesson”. I’m sorry if I brought back bad memories.
This is what happened guys:
Lama made a post and said “Wee”. He meant it to mean in a joyous, happy kinda way (not taking a wiz). TOG unraveled after that post. I kid you not. End of story.

I agree with Tony, why dredge up old garbage? I consider myself most fortunate to have missed all of that. I found this site without knowing any of the history. I found great, knowledgable, and funny guys who were happy to share information and experiences. I love my SS, although I think that I am still learning about it eight months later. Thank you guys for putting up with me. I would love to buy a Condor someday.
I met Akula here and am glad that I did. Thank you Akula for being such a good role model for my son and I. 😀 Thank you for enhancing my understanding of respect.

It was a bunch of people trying to stick up for people who got banned, and then got kicked themselves. I was immature because I didn’t freak out at a “your momma” joke by some crazy internet pedophile so I got kicked.

Thanks SAVAGESAM I took your suggestion and started reading at the don of time (9-01-07). It was like putting a puzzle together but here goes:
Things starting going downhill when Andrew sold TOG to Don.
Don felt the need to give sermons but didn’t like criticism
TOG had “Drama Queens”
Tony’s account was deleted for no reason that is known
Tron, YN, WOK and Lama are deleted over YN momma’s joke against Lama, but lama was not offended Many accounts were deleted for no reason
Account’s that were deleted also had posts deleted creating fragmented threads
Don trashed his own web site.
Those who weren’t banned lost interests and left
SteveCT from the Yellow helped set up this site(thanks steve)
Former TOG members started finding TAG.
TOG lost all membership Ta da……
Conclusion: the fall of TOG is Mr Lama’s fault…….. oh and Don was a prick. Did I get it right????
Finally what’s the meaning behind the photo of four guys in party hats that WoK has posted several times?

Let me try to answer this for Tony (hope you don’t mind) I went ALL THE WAY back to the very first threads here. If you do that and read all that’s there you can get a pretty good idea of what went down way back then. Basically, in a nut shell, the way everyone went to bat for Tony spoke volumes to me. Nobody said he deserved it, nobody. I know from experience a lot of ppl. will sit on their hands and do nothing when they see things that aren’t right. But the way they stuck up and defended him makes me think he is a righteous dude. He knows he will be getting my business.

There is an actual well written bio here about the past and the forming of our TAG, but maybe it is best to not bring up the past B.S. and focus on a positive future.
Bottom line is we have one of the best AG forums around, thanks to our members and mods.
