Expert/knowlegable opinion please.
For home hobbyist use, what do you reckon to this bit of kit?

If your got the space and cash buy a mill and lathe , the comb ,s have limitations , vibration being one of them . As with everything if only we all had the cash and space we would all get something differant ie bigger , better , i know i would bin my mill in an instant ………..piece of crap :evil:. But ive never owned a combie so dont take my word for it………….what do i know 😀

i have one just like it had it for 10 years + , different name . other then small bore , i love it , used it many many time ,still use it even though i have machine costing thousands more . built a few airguns on one , it is a little bit of a pain to set up a vise then switch back , id advise getting the next size up that has 2 motors and 8” of cross feed 1.18 bore its well worth it .but that machine is good.

im not sure what brand they are , alost all places have 2 models ,these are the 2 i have .
the smaller one is exactly like the one you posted .i hae a crossfeed table on it here . a great buy for it $80 for 13” of travel .
the bigger one comes wth a threading dial also , not that these machines need them since you almost have to hand feed , do to high speeds.
it is good to have a mill and a lathe but if space is limilted these are great . for the price for sure .
the bigger one also has enough room to have a good vise on it at all times and doesnt hinder lathe use .
