Put a shroud on my Mac1 LD
I was hustling to get it done so I did not take any picts. It has a 10″ barrel and I had to extend it another 3.5″ to get the sound reduction I wanted. It has a 1″ outside diameter. I mill the front and cut a conical nose on it to help reflect back the gas. The front bushing is press fitted and has 4 flat surfaces to allow the gas to escape to the rear of the shroud where there are 2 exhaust holes. The rear bushing is drilled for a 10-32 set screw and under that set screw is a tiny piece of lead so the barrel does not get marred. The front and rear ends are glued on with a tight fit using Pliobond and heat set bonded for super strength and flexibilbie in the joint.
The finish is black Gun Kote and is baked on. And I am sorry to say that was the last of it. It does not go very far.
It very quiet and shoots like a lazer.
