Q:

logun s16 and Airforce bottles

Can the s16 bottle use the same valve system as the Airforce bottles? Are the threads similar?
I’m waiting to get spare parts for my s16’s bottle and bottle adapter. where can I get custom valve work done?

I found out that logun sells the parts for $100 plus shipping. I’m hoping to find some custom machinists that know much about logun s16s before ordering through logun.

Thanks

I went to see Jim Hogan at his shop in Mexborough near Rotherham today, while I was there I asked him about parts that you damaged on your S16, he told me that AGS changed the design on the bottle valve and bottle inlet adaptor, and there’s three different types, he said without seeing the gun its hard to say which type of parts you require. I suggested to him that if I found the serial number for the gun and contacted AGS who hold records of all the S16’s sold he would be able to supply correct parts for your gun. By the way Jim Hogan is the man who invented the first S16’s. So if you want me to go back and see Jim and see if I can get a better price from him, as I don’t think anyone else could make some parts for you because you don’t seem to have very much of the original parts left for anybody to measure.

I dont know of anyone who works on the S16. Maybe Alan Z but his shop is not open currently.

Why would you need custom valve work on the valve. Is there a problem with it? Those guns are good to go and their real downfall is the wieght and trigger pull. Other then that people love them.

I suggest you order the parts from Logun. Any machinist worth his salt will cost you a whole lot more than $100.
