Air tank 5yr test
Do you guy’s hve your talon air tanks retested every 5yrs like the manual says and if so where do you have this done?

It’s a good idea to do the testing if only for peace of mind. The test cost around $35. You are holding a potential pipe bomb next to your head. An Air tank does expand slightly when filled. You can not detect it, but a Hydrostatic testing will and ensure it’s within limits.
If you have a SCUBA shop or wielding supply house around they can hook you up or tell you where to go. You can send it back to Air Force for testing as well but that’s the most expensive route.

Damn good idea! The “Pipe Bomb..” thing is a scary thought. Even scarier, is the fact that I never thought of having that done. Thanks for bringing it up on the forum as I suspect I’m not the only one. đŸ˜€
