Need Talon SS advice!
Okay, after selling some airgun and paintball stuff, I have $500 burning a hole in my pocket that I want to put towards a Talon SS in .22. I already have a scuba tank and fill clamp, so all I really need is the gun and Airforce adapter for the clamp. So, here is where I need advice: should I buy new from Mac 1, which comes with a prep package that is supposed to provide me with a super efficient gun, or should I buy a used one that perhaps has a few mods done to it, or maybe even look for a gun/pump combo in that price range? (Like I said, I already have a tank, but it would be nice to have a pump too.) Anyhow, let me know what you think – your advice is much appreciated!

I agree with Sotxguy on everything except for the pump. What happens when your car breaks down and you can’t take your tank to the scuba shop to get it filled? Or when air starts getting really expensive to buy? It is always good to have a back-up plan.
Buy new. You have the SCUBA tank which is the second biggest cost with PCP start up. I wouldn’t buy a pump unless you really want one. If you bought used with mods then you need to know if it was moded by a pro or hack. Used is always risky. Many of the mods are explained here if you wish to do them yourself and there no shortage of members willing to give advice.
