Happy 4th of July! AKA Independence Day!
Hey Everybody! Just wishing you all a safe and happy Independence Day. Its almost 11:30pm here (Pacific), but I thought I would get it out anyways. Stay safe, stay cool, and get that charcoal BBQ goin!!

The BBQ was fine. Smoked for 12 hours a pork shoulder and served it up as pulled pork sandwiches with smoke baked beans and potato salad.
Followed by a few games of Liars dice and a long debate with my college nephew on “Justice”. He argued no one can define justice and the greatest minds can not. And yet he was perplexed I not only defined it but showed him the definition in the dictionary…..LOL. These kids who take philosophy and actually believe the stuff the instructor say are fun to discuss things with. He was taking of justice in the esoterical unreachable sense and I argued the only justice we can deal with is the current time definition even if ideally it is not just.
He wants to be a lawyer. And what turned the tide in the debate is I asked him. “As an attorney how can you get justice for your client if you believe true justice does not exist?” He was having a hard time getting his head out of the clouds and realizing we can only deal with what he have currently and while what we deem as justice may change over time.
I loved it when he said ” So Socrates and Plato and the greatest minds can not define justice and you can?” I answered “Yes” and told him the definition and then showed it too him. I said may Socrates and Plato as well as the greatest minds can not define “Justice” because they do not know how to usE GOOGLE….. 😆 😆 😆

Spent the afternoon upgrading the hard drive on my laptop, then walked some fireworks over to my neighbors who live across the street. Had a few beers and watched the mild show.
