Working on new even Quieter Shroud for LD
Decided to see if I can get my MK 1 LD even quieter. I decided to make another shroud with some baffle work inspired by Blodknob and Steve at Pomona airgun.
So I went to the mill and lathe and turned this out. It will go into the end of a shroud and the shroud will have strategic holes drilled to vent pressure and decrease noise.

For the pistol I only have a few inches to work with. It takes about 3.75″ of space past the barrel for the muzzle blast to be muffled. My current shroud does a pretty good job even though it has no baffles.
I hope I can get the report down to a small whoosh.
Youre gonna like it a lot. Thats basically the same thing I built for my shroud, but mine has 1 more milled hole and one other minor change.
End result was quieter than my rubber washer design by a noticable amount.
That design always looks awesome man. Even if the effectivness sucked I’d still want it. 🙂 I’m sure it, in no way, sucks.

WOK, the core I built for my shroud is 1.25″ x 3.5″ with 3 .875″ holes. I shortened the shroud tube to 10.5″ so the core is only 1″ from the end of the muzzle.
I was going for shorter OAL of the rifle, and still ended up quieter with the new core.
