Need baffle ideas for a fat and stubby shroud

So, I have a huge shroud that is of the short and stubby design (10 or so inches long and over 2 inches in diameter) and whilst it keeps the Condor relatively short it also means that a large percentage of the shroud’s volume is behind the barrel (almost half) and that obviously cuts down on the effectiveness. So, I need a way of redirecting that blast of air with an initial baffle, but the huge diameter is making conventional techniques somewhat difficult, and springs and washers will add a lot of weight. My first idea was a baffle to redirect the air backwards then 1-2 chambers only, and then to line the inside of the shroud with a sound deadening foam of some kind, assuming that it could withstand repeated blasts of air. Any thoughts?

Here is an idea i sketched out after replying on your “length vs girth” topic.

side view, baffles are to be machined caliber specific. The concave should redirect air effeciently rearward as the pellet passes through the hole in the center. The crosshatched areas represent rolled screen mesh to further reduce the speed of the excess expanding air.

I plan on persuing this idea once I get my lathe set up this week (being delivered wednesday). getting everything centered in relation to the bore will be the key to keeping tolerances close enough for it to be effective.
