Q:

Tank size and where to buy?

I’ve been doing my reseach for a scuba tank but, I’m just wondering what size tanks are generally used? I’ve been looking an aluminum tank 30 CU feet from scuba.com. Its around $165.00 If anyone has any ideas pleases post.

If you can find a place to fill to 4500 psi, that’s what you really want to do. You can get a great deal on a vastly superior rig at:

I’ve been using one of Joe’s 66 cu ft tanks for a few years now, I gave my SCUBA tank away (it needed hydro anyway….). There’s a huge difference between a dozen full fills and none. And SCUBA tanks are a PITA to lug around (and you end up doing a lot of it….like to the shop for another fill when the fills get too short).

A couple guys on the Yellow Forum classifieds regularly have 44cf 4500psi tanks for sale at less than $200.00; just make sure you have a place to get it filled before buying. The 44cf high pressure tank will give more than double the full fills vs. an 80cf 3000psi scuba cylinder and only weighs about 10lbs vs. 30+ for the Al scuba tank.

I was considering it but, from what I seen you don’t get the potential of the gun if you go with C02 ….am I wrong?

correction think that should read 80 cu ft. kingpin

go with the 80 cu in tank @ 3300 lbs per sq inch. you will get more fills. make sure you have some place that will fill it . check any dive shops for a used tank . you also might think about c02. kingpin
