What kind of tank would this be?
I went into the dive shop today to have both my CF tanks refilled. While there and shooting the bull with the guy that fills tanks, he was telling me that earlier in the day, a guy came in with an aluminum 5500psi scuba (dive tank) to get it filled.
Their compressor at the dive shop is governed to stop at 5200psi, so this was all he was able to put into his tank. The shop had never seen one before and researched it prior to filling and confirmed that it was a 5500psi dive tank. What the hell kind of a tank would this be?

It is the air reservoir to shoot huge harpoons at whales. 😯

LOL…….Well, been doing some research and seems they do exist. They are predominately used in Europe for cave diving where longer periods of staying under water are needed. Most shops in the US never see them or even know anything about them, such was the case today.
Now one of these would be cool to have as a fill station to be kept at home. He said it was almost a foot taller than a 3200psi scuba tank and was quite heavier too.
