Q:

Scope questions

1. Why is it when I crank up the power on my friends 4x16x50 scope it gets so picky about head placement, but on 4x it’s crystal clear? 2. Who makes a good “bang for the buck” scope that is a fixed 4x? I’m starting to think this may be a better option, as it should weigh less and maybe be a better quality than a variable for the same price point.

I noticed the rings it comes with won’t work on the A.F. rifle. What is the general opinion of the one piece mount? Will it be high enough?

either get high rings or the tri-rail and a normal set of rings. I put the tri-rail on mine with normal rings, It helps alot.

Have a look at this one and give me your opinions http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/accessory.pl?accessory_id=1683 the other one i’m considering is the full size 4×32 because this one has illuminated reticles and i don’t think i need them do i? Seems to just add weight.

My friends scope is made for A.F. By who, I have no idea??? Is that leapers 4×32 bright enough??? Also can you use it with a one piece mount? From what i’ve read it’s better for the A.F. frame. What about being able to get your eye close enough with out craneing your neck?

Is your friends scope a BSA? I always had that problem with them. Other scopes do the same thing, its just a property of zoom scopes, but to a much lesser extent.
