There one second, gone the next….
This is funny, I thought I’d share it. I got my new Beeman 30mm rings in today from Pyramid air and proceeded to mount/sight in my Leapers scope on the Condor 22cal. At 30 yards I had it dead on within 5 shots. I had the Leapers on 18 power. Target was 3/4″ green dots. Well upon loading my 7 or 8th shot I looked thru the scope and was about to squeeze one off when I noticed a horse fly land on the barbed wire right next to my target. I simply moved the gun a fraction and acquired the new target and let er’ loose. The thing was there one seond, gone the next…!

I had a similiar experience while sighting in my .308 for deer season years ago. Just had gotten it dialed in at 100yd, 1 inch high and was about to do a confirmation group when a fly landed on my target paper about 4inches up and left from the bullseye. said “hey dad, watch this”….he laughed at me as he was looking through the spotting scope. Shifted the crosshairs to the fly, then 1 inch low. BOOM. a hole appeared in the target and the fly was gone. upon inspection of the target, a small splatter and a leg was visible at the edge of the bullethole. Target is saved in a scrapbook to this day.
