Q:

First time shooting your talon/condor

I’m sure most everybody remembers their first time. So, when was it, and where?

I shot it from in my garage, towards the woods. I had who was then shadowstalker on the phone, trying to figure out what was wrong with my pump. He told me to fire a round off, so I loaded it up and shot a jsb. This was about 11 at night, and it was LOUD. I was just waiting for the cops to show up. 🙂

Loved it.

I was checking the tracking online every five minutes. It finally came while I was at school at around noon. I got home, watched the video, shot a few times in the basement to see what it was all about, and by that time it was dark. So I took a flashlight and put it next to a target outside. I went into my kitchen, opened the window, and moved to the back of the room. I can’t believe nobody called the cops because that sucker was loud! It definitely sounded different to the people next door, because I was inside and they were inside – but still!

I was really excited and still am.

My first shots were at AoA. I realize they have pissed on many folks but they were pretty cool when I was looking at guns. I shot the Condor, SS and a few others before I even bought one. Then they sighted it in for me and and ran it through the chrony. I then got to shoot a few at some targets.

Photo22 your pic made me laugh. I picture someone coming out of a side room and yelling “oh shit” as they look down your way.

My Condor was my first PCP but I already had a tank waiting when it got here. It was after I got home from work and too late to go shooting. I charged the gun, cranked ther power wheel to the right and fired air into the floor.

I had heard it was loud, and I BELIEVED it. 😯

On the back porch sighting in the scope two weeks ago. Ever since then I have been awestruck by the condor.

Later

The first shot from my Condor was with an empty barrel in my living room.

The second shot I fired a .22 Kodiak from my front porch at midnight into a chunk of 2×4. Almost went thru. Neighbors dog started barking, neighbors light went out. Sure sign he was looking out the window in my direction.

He has since shot the rifle and is considering buying one. I hope he doesn’t because I like to shoot his squirrels.

quote Yellow Ninja:

I was shooting it inside at 10m into a small monkey shit pellet trap in my hallway because it was too loud for outside. I hadn’t compensated for the high scope and short distance. Missed the trap and put a nice clean hole in my back door.

I had my trap set at 10 yards for the first few shots and it was 2 mildots low with the scope set at 10x or so.

The first time I shot my Condor it was in the winter and it was raining so I setup my trap and my indoor house range at a max of 20 yards. I told my girl that I will be shooting and after 5 shots I went in the Den and she ask me did I shoot the gun and I told he “hell did’nt you hear it. She say no and all I could do is smile 😀 . After that I shot it with out the shroud and she screamed 😆 hehehe

My Winter indoor range

At the place where I bought it. at some Silhouettes. I also shot the Condor and a BSA Lone Star.

My TSS / CO2 arrived on a Monday morning.

I was working from home, I stopped working, held the gun and watched the video.

I then mounted the scope and sighted it in inside the house. Then moved outside to the back yard. It is great during normal working hours most people are gone.

I remember shooting my target with a nice back stop. I was standing with my back 5 feet from the back fence. Shooting one shot then listening for any neighbors. Shot a few more shots being careful not to draw too much attention.

Then landscapers showed up and started mowing the neighbors back yard, They were making so much noise I knew I could just blast away for a few minutes.

That was pretty cool 😀
