oversized tank
Did a search and read thru all mod pages.
didnt see any ref to what I was looking for.
Long ago on the old TOG there was a guy that sold oversized tanks.
Any old timers remember him? Anyway question is….
Have been shooting with the oversized tank for some time. works good. More shots in the sweet zone. but the Ping is killing me. If I remember correctly the stock tank was quieter. I know it was thicker.
Any way. nothing wrong with this tank. But was thinking about switching back to stock tank.
Anyone else been round long nuf to remember those tanks? Any one else using them? Any issues? notice louder ping noise?

uk190 tanks where 800, they work great, llonger and lightly fatter than stock, high mounts for scope is all you need
someone else was selling the 869 tanks, much fatter, needed adaptor to screw into the frame…and threads where piantball threads….tons of air…but you would need trirail AND high mounts to get a descent shooting posistion !
yup got an 800cc tank, i managed to squeese the original neoprene of the original bottle and onto this one….this does help for ping…..
once i find a little piece of pianowire or simelar wire…im gonna mount it to the valve and make it so it sticks into the bottle, with a heavy rubber ball at the end that will touch the sides of the bottle…like putting a finger on a bell….
shotting is the one hearing the ping the most anyway….so if your lurking in the bushes where your not supposed to be, it doesnt really matter that much, the TWOCK when hitting a groundsquirrel is what will give you away 😈
I cant tell if thats a uk190 tank (869cc IIRC) or the other tank that was sold at the same time by another guy in CA, cant remember the name, but that tank was thinner and less capacity than the uk190.
The noise is pretty bad on the stock tanks. i had a uk190 tank, traded it to cygnusx and we shot together and I didnt notice any additional noise with the larger tank over my stock tank.

glad to hear nobody saying that they blew up on ’em.
you are prob right about the same ping with stock tank. prob sitching back isnt worth it. Like the bigger air capacity.
I coated with truck bed liner and that seems to help just a bit. maybe more coats needed.
