I have the rifle, what else do I need? I do not want to pump.
New to PCP. What do I need to shoot? How many fills from a
44cft tank? I have the .177, would it behoove me to get the .22
set up? Currently listening to Deep Purple, “Burn”

OR, you could get a handpump. You get free air plus and you could think of it as a gym membership. You don’t need hydros or visual inspections or gas to get it filled. I have filled my tank 31 times with my hill pump. I think of that as 2 trips to the scuba shop. Driving down and back would cost me $5 in gas, and getting it filled would be $5 each. that is $20 for a month of shooting. Now you have to get it inspected so that is $15.
My pump cost me $280, but you can now subtract $35 from that. In 8 months my pump will have cost me nothing.
If you have a SCUBA shop close to where you live or work, get yourself a 44 or 80cu.ft scuba tank and fill station plus the AF fill adapter and you should be all set. It only costs me $5 to refill my 80cu.ft aluminum scuba tank. I went with the 80cu.ft 3K psi tank because you get more fills, or so I was told. I asked the guy at the Scuba shop to show me some 45cu.ft tanks he had but he told me to stick with the 80cu.ft because they offer more volume and fills.
You may want to check the Airgun classifieds or Ebay, etc. because some of these Scuba shops charge a lot. I got a used 5yr old aluminum tank from the Yellow Classifieds that had a fresh hydro test done already (it’s mandatory every 5yrs by law), and only had to get it visually inspected (annually by law) which cost me $15. The tank was $120 shipped. It’s kinda heavy (25-30lbs?) but it just sits there in my gun room and it doesn’t have to go anywhere until it’s time to get it filled again. I have filled my Condor tank 7 times now (about 280 shots so far) so we ‘ll see how long it lasts before it’s empty. I think it should get 15 or more (2700psi) fills out of it. Hek ~600 shots for $5 is a bargain I think (compared to CO2 or other gas..). Now I believe this particular scuba shop charges $8 for 4500psi tanks but I only have a 3K psi one.

Regarding the .22 barrel, what do you want to do with your rifle? I just sold my Talon SS with .22 barrel, have an FX Cyclone .177 on the way, my other rifle is an AA S400E .177. Thought long and hard, finally realized I just don’t need .22 for the shooting I do. Which is mostly paper punching, whacking starlings, and the occasional ground hog or ground squirrel. Took my first g’hog with my Talon set up with an 18″ .177 barrel at 20 yards, 16 fpe, went in under one ear and came out under the other. Shot a couple more, one with a .20 @ 24 fpe, and the other with a .22 @ 40+, the first one was just as dead as the other two. Plus, .177 pellets are LOTS cheaper :-)! I will say a Condor in .177 has got to be tough to dial down enough to keep pellets sub sonic, so that would be one very good reason for a .22 barrel. Hope that’s some help, later.
