I basically did the mods shown in the thread http://talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=134
major exception would be that my local hardware store had flat rubber washers with an ID of 1/4 inch and OD of 1 inch, about 1/16 of an inch thick. I put 1 rubber washer in 1st, then the 1st 1 inch spring, then 2 rubber washers, a regular metal washer with the same dimensions followed by another 2 rubber washers, the 2nd spring, another rubber washer, and squished it all in and tightened the cap.
there’s a spring inside the gun that’s now the loudest part of firing. (along with the thwack of the pellet hitting something)

Do not put the rubber washer 1st. The washer you have will not go around the barrel. If you put too light a spring in, it will allow the washer to go at an angle and deflect the pellat. Too light a spring and it will twang. Too narrow and it can twang. I put lawn chair nylon wrap arround my spring to keep it from twanging. Also if you vent the bushing, putting in the washer you used will seal off the venting holes.
