How to dye wood slivers????

Does someone know how to dye wood slivers meant for making laminated stock throughout their thickness. I mean to say as shown in this following thread http://talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3371

Here in India nothing that sort of thing is available off the shelf. Infact most of the people I spoke to are unaware about such a product. I have tried most of the dyes available in the market with pressure & without pressure as well but no success so far. I have also searched most of the woodworking & finnishing forums but unfortunately no clear info is available there also.

Hmm, I think its all done with high pressure and heat. I know you can buy blanks in the colors you want already done though.
