Acceptable wall thickness for receiver extension tube

What’s the wall thickness everybody is using for receiver extensions?
.065″ aluminum
is .050″carbon fiber up to the task?

The carbon tube I use is 0.050″.

I have a tube I want to try without the outer weave ply, measures 0.035″. I haven’t done it because the outer layer is splintering a bit on the cut edges.

The thinner the better. Just not so thin it dents easily.

Its whatever you have available to you or was on sale that day ).

Everybody likes to post pictures of their shrouds but nobody knows how thick the tubing is?
