I am really new to the forum and I am amazed at how friendly and helpful everybody is – really almost brings a tear to my eye.

I am just trying to see if I can work out things on the SAcan side which is harder than I thought because I am in Germany (why am I always stuck in countries with crappy gun laws? ARGH!) for the time being and spending alot more time here than back home at the moment.

butcher is right, want to import to South Africa – we have really shitty gun laws here so trying to make the best of a bad situation. Thanks for the help with the links all – hard to navigate but at least there is a phone number up the top.

This guy is from Swellendam and successfully imported .20 Sumatra from Mac1 Airgun in the States.

He doesn’t have a lot of posts, but you may want to try reaching out to him, he may have gone through the same obstacles you’re up against…

Tim may have some .20’s left in stock, as it’s not a very popular caliber for that gun over here. However, Tim has recently stated publicly that he will no longer regularly stock the EunJin guns as Pyramid Air has become the sole importer of the Sumatras in the United States – he would have to buy through them and crush the incentive any little profit margin there many have been previously.

Note: email is arguably the least effective way to deal with Tim, you need to call them directly at their shop:

If you’re out of luck, you may want to ask if you can buy a Sumtra from Pyramid Air, and have them ship it to Tim MacMurray in California for tuning and prep, then have him ship to South Africa.

Yep,

Read your post to quickly. To answer your question, from what I understand Pyramid Air is the Sole Distributor for them in the States.

Don’t think you can get the company to sell them to you since they have a contract with Pyramid Air.

He wants to import them to “SA” (South Africa?), not the USA.

Here is some link, not sure it’s right, don’t understood that language at all.

thanks for the reply adam but I think you might have misunderstood me – I am actually looking for the company site for contact details. Gave up on the supersonic 177 idea and was thinking of importing a few high power .20 to SA.
Just trying to figure out who would give me a good deal on bulk purchases and shipping etc. and figured would be best to go to source instead of through another dealer.
