Condor 12" barrel accuracy
Any experts know the accuracy of a Condor .177 cal. with 12″ barrel?
When it is zeroed in at 30 yards, what is the accuracy at 50 yard range?
How about beyond 50 yard?

Daaaayum Yellow LOL,
I hear ya dude and understand that, but from what things use to be like around here, there was more than just a few using HF valves that was not just stock valves either, nor was the hammers and springs… So that sort of info was what I was asking about dude, ease up on me now Yellow you mean devil nija 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆
For as the wasting of air, hell the way you could look at this, everytime you squeeze the trigger your wasting air LOL… I do think a guy does need a compressor when you live where I do and like to mess with stuff as I do from time to time…
I am sure the 12″ barrel will not allow the air to expand not even nearly as much as the longer ones, but to have the shorter version rifle for in and around the backyard would be way cool I think. I would think one setup to shoot Predators would be awesome though with those no heavier than they are… If there is enough power to shoot the EJ’s also well that will be even better 8) Not ever shot one of the rifles like this, so I will let everyone know once I am through… 😆
I figure I can use the Condor like this easy enough and I am trolling around looking for a used Rapid MKII, I even been thinking way hard about a Daystate AirRanger that a fellow on the Yellow has for sale that is a .20 caliber… Not sure about the Daystates so much and even less sure about the .20 caliber as I would like to stay with .22 caliber to keep a better inventory of pellets around here as well as our other property down the country a ways. We don’t just have places that sale pellets and such around these parts 😆 😆 😆 Wally World, but they only have the .177 stuff here that I have ever seen and not good stuff in that caliber 😆 😆 😆
So, I guess time will tell what I end up with soon enough, just think to play around with the Condor in a SS form would be fun. Find me a rifle like a Rapid with a magazine or two since I already ordered one for a Rapid 😆 😆 😆 would be cool.
YellowNija, you ol’e dawg, you quite being so mean and ugly around here, I am tender and delicate, so don’t be hurtin’ my feelings now ya hear”” 😛 😛 😛 😛 😛 😛
If you set the wheel properly (at the point just prior where adding more preload doesnt increase velocity) then you wont be wasting anymore air than a guy shooting with a 24″ barrel.
If you have the wheel turned up all the way you will absolutly be wasting air, but so will people who are using Talon tanks with the 12″ barrel on full power.
@ shrp, Yep, I can understand that… you still get more power regardless of how much air is actually used.
More air = more velocity in general. yes, Condor tank on a 12″ bbl will “waste” a lot of air, but if velocity and not shot count are a primary concern, there is still benefit to using the condor tank with the short barrel as compared to the same barrel with a talon tank.
OK, correct me if I’m wrong, (Because I probably am lol) but wouldn’t you be wasting a ton of air doing this? It’s my understanding that by just putting the PW all the way up on a stock SS with a 12″er is wasting air, can’t help but think the waste from a Condor valve with such a short barrel, or maybe I’m just not thinking this out right…
The question was a Condor with a 12″ barrel, so yes its with a Hi Flo valve.
Thanks guys for the response on my questions here, heck I didn’t think about looking in the Talon section either, pretty stupid of me… I got a Talon frame I could do this with, but I am thinking of doing a 18″ barrel in it instead…
I like the whole idea of the Condor in a SS version and I may end up mounting the field peep sights on it since the frame is longer than the Talon and that would be an advantage with iron sights…
Yellow, I guess your 45 fpe was with the HF valve??? I have all three stock valves now and can swap those around from one rifle to the next as needed for whatever…
Thanks again guys 😛 😛 😛
If so and you have the time to post the numbers for us that would like to know, how bout what build up you have on this Condor SS for as hammer if not stock and which valve whether its the HF, talon, micro or even a special.
I have just bout taked myself into doing my Condor into a SS with a 12″ barrel I already have and then stuff the rest of the frame with baffles to see if I can make this backyard friendly, long as I see some good numbers from you that have tried this or have one.
I am just not into the lobing of the pellets so much 😆 😆 😆
I would even like to be even to shoot the EJ’s from this if it can be done with any speed and energy. Figure on the best round if this barrel I have likes them to be the Predator. Just like to see what you guys have and seen before I do this to a cannon of a Condor I have right now 😆
Thanks guys for your responses also.
45fpe with Kodiaks from mine.
Rowdy — First I can not help you. However, if you put a 12″ barrel on it you turn it into a TalonSS with a condor hammer and valve. If you go look in the Talon/TalonSS section I believe you will find you answers. That is the best advice I can give.
Now back to the topic guys please, I would like to know what you guys think of the 12″ barreled Condor for as the fps from this combo with say like the Kodiac pellets in .22 since I saw more of you with the .22 caliber here??? Any of you crony that 12″ er with any of the pellets for that matter?

Oh trust me, you’re not even close to laughing as hard as I am. 😉
With good ammo I’ve shot 1″ at 100 yards. That’s the farthest I’ve tried, so i don’t know how it holds up farther, but that’s not bad at all. I’m still looking for a good red dot sight. Just not super high on my priority list.
Mr-lama how accurate is that. I know the TC Contender in .233 is accurate to 100 yards or more.

A .223 pistol will reach out. Shooting at 100 yards is easy with mine.
Only thing a long barrel will do for accuracy is shoot faster. That way wind and such won’t bother it as much, but true accuracy, with all other variables taken out, short is capable of the same thing as long.
Just ask YN about using short equipment. 😛

I will be taking possession of a Tony tuned .25 Condor with a 12 inch barrel tomorrow and I will be checking out the new varmint gun over the weekend. All I know so far is that it is shooting 31gr Kodiaks at 55 fpe That is about the max distance that I will be shooting. I will be more than happy to have test results for all to see by the first of the week. I have seen this Condor in action and I didn’t see any problems with accuracy.
