Gamo 22cal Hunter Extreme
I just received my long awaited Gamo Hunter Extreme in a 22 caliber. The gun is definitely an adult rifle in every respect, large frame, break down is very hard, heavy and shoots supersonic. I like the Gamo scope but replaced it with a Bushnell 5-15 3200 elite 50mm. The only problem I have with it so far is the trigger pull – very long. Maybe it will get better. Anyone else have any comments or maybe a trigger mod to make it better? Back to shooting targets for now.

The two Gamo’s I have still have the stock trigger’s with the mod’s. The replacement trigger does have a better feel than the stock one, but with the mod and stock trigger it works much better than the setup you get from Gamo. And it’s cheap 😀
Those are two solid tips for correcting it. Has anyone done a mod to the stock strigger itself instead of buying the anodized replacement?

I put a “Rich from Mich” trigger mod kit in a Gamo Shadow, .177, and it made a big difference. I got my shadow for $75 at Walmartduring a close-out sale. It shoots hard, but not the 1000 fps as advertised; 889 fpr with CP’s. It’s great for kicking cans around. It has taken several rats and a ground squirrel. I just don’t shoot it consistently. I’m sure that it is shooter error. Good luck.

My sons Gamo Shadow Sport trigger = First stage 1-lb .7oz/ second stage 5.2oz Avg And my S1K will do 12.1oz Avg. and it has Rich’s older kit in it.

Yes, the “Rich from Mich” is a modification of the stock trigger assembly.
