18" or 24" barrel…
i plan on geting a new barrel soon on my stock SS, any sugetsions???

i think i might get an 18″ with a shroud. how much do you think it would cost to get a shroud for the 18″?

get a 24″ .22 and a 18″ .20 not alot of pellet selection in .20 cal but 14.3gr crosmans and 13.3 gr kodiaks in .20cal are extremenly fast and accurate…..then for fun get a .177 18″ for 1000 plus fps with heavy crosmans and 10.6 kodiaks-get em all – pretty sure im gettin a 24″ .22 cal next. in fact what kind a numbers can i expect – standard tank 24″ barrel in .22 cal with 21gr kodiaks?
Length I think is the deciding factor for most people. yes you get more power with the 24″, but your gun becomes very long shrouding a barrel that length. A shrouded 18″er is aprox 6″ shorter, and the power increase is still quite substantial coming from the stock 12″er. I’ve been really happy with the 18″, as well as many others here. If length isn’t a issue for you, and more power is more important, the 24 sounds like what you would be happier with.
i was thinking about geting the 24″ and go ahead and get a shroud, but i see that a lot of people have 16″ and 18″ what is the diffrence besides the foot pounds?
What are kidiacks? Oh I know they are kayaks for kids. 😆 8)
A 24″ barrel will get you about 950 fps with 21 gr kidiaks, for about 50 shots.
