Hill/BSA Pump…2 different handle designs?
My BSA/Hill Pump doesn’t match up with the diagram I have found on Airguns Of Arizona’s web-site.
The top part of the diagram shows that the handle is held down with two screws, and that once the handle is removed the part underneath it then unscrews, exposing the top of the internal rod.
The handle on my pump is held down by a single allen screw, and the metal that this allen screw goes into does not appear to be removeable from the internal rod. It seems to be permanently attached to where the pump will not dis-assemble.
What am I missing?
I will try to get a picture posted soon so it can be compared to the re-build diagram.

i must warn you in the top of the outer tube in a brass houseing, are two small rubber balls that act as the valves between the first and second stage. be careful not to lose them. it took me an hour to find one that i droped, the first time i took my hill apart. don’t be scared the pumps are not to bad after the first time. my first took 3 hours and a lot of frustation (most looking for that damn ball). just do not use a lot of lube. now it takes me 20 min to take it abart to lube it and clean it out. i do it about every 6 months it really helps the effencey of the pump since that is all that i use to charge my gun. i have a rebuild kit but never had to use it just cleaned it out and it was back to new.

I got it when i bought the dry pac, so its for installing that, but it shows how to break it down….
Never have I’m afraid – The guy who bought it was going to buy a rebuild kit.
I’ll send him an email and ask him what became of it.
That’s what mine looks like (except mine is yellow). Have you ever rebuilt it? I can’t figure out how to seperate the internal rod from the top metal piece.

I think there’s a Mk1 and a Mk2. Not much difference other than some minor design tweaks and the Mk2 comes with the Drypac.
AFAIK the rebuild kit works with both designs.

Thanks Pablouk! That is just what I needed to see to assure me that was indeed a set-pin. Those set-pins get me every time.
I wasn’t sure if it was a set-pin or not because it doesn’t go all the way thru to the other side. This one was tough to get out, too.
