Bottle nut on Scott air pack
I have a fireman’s Scott air pack and I am trying to figure out how the air
pack hose bottle nut ( the hand tightened round threaded nut piece that
attaches the harness/regulator assembly to the actual bottle ) come apart. I can see that it has 1/4″ npt thread attached to the high pressure hose, but how does that bottle nut assembly come apart in order to get that fitting off the hose ?
If I can get it off, I’ll use that to begin my adapter for filling the bottle.

Do you have a pic of the retaining clip on your fitting ?

That is EXACTLY what I’m talking about. I looked down inside the fitting for the lands for a socket to remove it and I cannot see any. I will take another look later.
And I like youe custom fitting. That is what mine will look like when I’m done.

Are you talking about the part on the left?
It comes apart from the inside
In my case a 13mm deep socket.
Sometimes there is a retaining clip behind the nut. This needs to be removed to let the nut slide further

Mine does not have the reataining clip. It would be behind the nut on the outside if you have one
