Q:

Pyramyd Air offline? Wazzzzup?

It has been days since I have been able to access their website.
What happened? Some serious server hosting issues?

Yep Explorer, but the PC had been rebooted and it still did not fix the problem…
Only when the Cable modem and the 4-port router was rebooted, did the problem go away.

😯 Let me guess Explorer web browser…. 😆

I really should have known though, as I did a more elaborate “Ping” of the website that sends back responces from all of the “hops” the connection takes through every switch, router, etc. it goes through to get to my PC. It always failed on the 1st hop, which would be through my system!!! I didn’t believe it though, just didn’t seem logical as nothing was showing up in the firewall settings and the Ping was giving me the IP address associated with the website.. Strange…. 😕 😕 ❓

This is kind of odd….. I can now access Pyramydair.com just fine.
Every single web site I could think of, I could get to… Except for Pyramydair.com… No Go!
A Google search listed it, but the link to it did not work there either, a look at the Cached info for the site gave me a copy of what the page looked like, but none of the links in it worked!!!….

So…. what I did to fix it was to reboot my cable modem and the router I have attached to it..

Now all is fine!!! I guess my router locked out the IP for their website!?!?!?!?!? Nothing was set in the firewall though… HMMM

Anyhow, if any of the rest of you have similar problems with just one specific website just try this. Doesn’t seem logical, but that is what fixed it!!

It’s working for me just fine.

Now, prepare for a backorder notice. 😉

Thats totally weird….. I posted earlier today that I could not find Kodiaks anywhere, high or low, no matter where I looked. Just now checked their website with the link I posted above and it said Kodiaks are in stock. I placed an order and got a confirmation email sent back immediately with my order number and saying they will ship in 2 days….. Crazy Huh ? ? ?

Just tried your link, and I get this for the 10th time… everything else I do works fine.

Network Timeout

The server at http://www.pyramydair.com is taking too long to respond.

The requested site did not respond to a connection request and the browser has stopped waiting for a reply.

* Could the server be experiencing high demand or a temporary outage? Try again later.
* Are you unable to browse other sites? Check the computer’s network connection.
* Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing.
* Still having trouble? Consult your network administrator or Internet provider for assistance.

Now that is really odd… Must be a routing issue. I guess one of the Internet “tubes” are clogged and needs some Internet Drano to clean it out.. LOL!

Iam referring to this guy… LOL! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f99PcP0aFNE

Yeah… I ran accross that too after a Google search.. Tryng to find the blog…

I even tried this to rule out my PC… good tip to try if you have suspicions about your PC. (good old DOS Ping program….)
C:\ping http://www.pyramydair.com

Pinging pyramydair.com [207.218.240.162] with 32 bytes of data:

Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.

Ping statistics for 207.218.240.162:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),

Or like this to resolve it to the address to confirm it is routed properly to the correct destination (just added the -a after Ping…)

C:\ping -a http://www.pyramydair.com

And I thought is was just my PC… I tried a couple of times myself last night and couldn’t get thru. I somehow got this however, it is PA but it looks different, not as good, it’s a different homepage.
