I’d have went with Optics of the year 2008…..

if you want to drop 400 on an awesome scope, then get your self a bushnell elite 4200 in 6-24×40 can be found on ebay for under 400…and in stores for about 450

its quite a long scope…but it is very clear and crisp!

Got the NIKKO STIRLING 6-24×55 IR MILDOT – Diamond – Optic of the year 2007 by NRA. 😀

Been working with the V16 this evening and I am impressed with it. The AO is easy to adjust while my Legend’s is quite stiff … the click adjustments on the V16 are solid and evenly spaced while my Legend always felt a bit mushy in this regard … and it showed up when clicking in at 60 yards as not all of the clicks moved the POI the same amount.

The Weaver is better in low light conditions as I was able to clearly focus on the rings of a piece of firewood at 20 yards in very dim light and the legend couldn’t distinguish the difference in the growth rings.

The Weaver DIDN’T come with factory lense covers or scope covers I guess you call them … shame on them. I will have to order those to fit this scope. The Legend came with scope covers but they fit very poorly.

For about $ 125.00 difference at Optics Planet … I’ll take the V16 😀

Us optics is always a good buy. Awesome glass for pretty cheap.

Ok, maybe cheap isn’t the right word….

quote Pulaskius:

I have the Legend and just received a Weaver V16 … the Legend has a rather critical eye relief and the V16 is clearer and easier to get a full sight picture thru.

V16 gets 2 thumbs up from me for just a pinch under $ 300.00 🙂

Hmm this could be a good buy.

You honestly don’t need any more than that legend, unless you are going to be small game hunting at 2000 yards.

Yes this is a nice scope but I was thinking on something more better, more
expensive.

Bushnell Legend 5-15×40 is less than half that price and an excellent scope.
