Finally shooting!
So, after receiving my Talon SS about 6 weeks ago, I was finally able to get an air source that I could fill it from! I am currently filling off a tank that is filling to about 2650 psi. This allows me to launch Predators at about 775-780 fps, and RWS Superdomes at about 805-810 fps. My power wheel is set at 6, which is as low as I can go without losing power. My question is this: Is this as fast as I am likely to get with these two pellets, or will more pressure bring the velocity up some? I have no real issue with these velocities, as they will suit me well within 50 yards or so. I am just wondering if I will see a velocity increase that will be significant enough to change my POI once I get the tank topped off.

I get 776 FPS with predators out of SS with a 2950 fill
Fill it to 3000 psi and turn the wheel up to 8- superdomes out of my 12″ .177 set up (stock) fly from 700 or so up thru 880 over 40 or so shots- I never tried a tin of polymags not sure how snug they are in the barrel but beeman field target specials have a great fit and at 8.6-8.8 gr shoot extrodinarily well- 830- 860 for tons of shots- from 2800 down thru 2500 psi….just keep shooting…and no poi for me seems to be about the same from 650fps up thu 800at 10-15 yards- besides 2650psi is in the ball park for the sweet spot – poi shift is minimal- when you get to 3000psi just turn the wheel up a-little ….the mid weight pellets love this 12″ barrel or vice versa…– for 50 yard shots you may want a heavier pellet anyway- the poi shift may not be all attributed to the fill pressure-too much speed with mid weight pellets causes each to do differnt things.
