Q:

No More Trips to the Firehouse

Well, my junkyard dog project hasn’t panned out, Parts plus hoses plus…… was still going to wind up expensive and got a great deal on this setup. Turns out parts for the junkyard one are almost impossible to find.

3500psi, 3.2cfm. filtration for both “dry air” and “breathing air”. Fill hoses for both scuba and scba. Weighs around 90lbs which is mostly the 2.5hp motor.

Just have to get a plug that will match my 220v outlets I use for the welder and shop air compressor; and build a dedicated bench for it. 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

Lol, holy smoke, the BIG tank????!!!!
I need one, this hand pump starting to get a real ball ache, have to wait 30mins after pumping to let me get my breath and relax again before i can shoot 😯 😯

If I was to hook up the gun tank directly, would probably take more time to hook and unhook than to fill the tank.

from above.

Very nice. YOU LUCKY DOG.

Coo, thought it would be quicker than that. But as you say, darn sight quicker than hand pump, and somewhat easier 😯
7 mins gives you time for a cuppa…. 😀

7 mins is the BIG tank, which in turn will give 7-10 gun fills.
Wanna try 7 gun fills in 7 mins with any handpump? 😛 😛 😛

i got a $100 bill and a cold beer for the first person that can do it 😛 😛 😛

disclaimer:
7 fills, 7 minutes, 2500-3000psi each, recorded on video and posted on youtube or photobucket, unedited. That’s 7 minutes start to finish for 7 tanks. 😈 😈

filled first two tanks on the new compressor, Have to admit being a little skeptical of the machine before putting it to use.

88cf 4500 scba tank
0-3600psi in 22 mins

80cf scuba tank w/ +rated hydro
2600-3300psi, 7 mins

so 7-8 mins should be the norm for good fills.
Compressor sounded happy to oblige, effortless.

7 minutes………….can’t top-off a 490cc gun tank in that time with a hand pump.

If I was to hook up the gun tank directly, would probably take more time to hook and unhook than to fill the tank.

needless to say, i’m a happy camper right now. no more low power shooting just for the sake of conserving air. 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

if you throw in some cookies, you’ve got a deal.

I’m fat, got any ice cream?

no prob. just how to keep it frozen. It’d just be milk & cookies when it got there. 😆

with truck freight shipping and fill adapters for both tanks, 1200.00

nice that it’s designed for constant duty usage, unlike the little blue thing that is marketed for us airgunners which recommends against filling 80cf tanks and costs more.

Mr. shelden is very knowledgable and a pleasure to deal with.

he does have compressors up to 5000psi also, but this one should be plenty for me. The only advantage to the 4500 would be more gun fills per tank, good when it is a 20 mile trip to get the tank filled, but unnecessary when it is only a walk to the garage.

My 88 and 66 cf tanks even filled to 3500 will be more than enough for most weekend excursions I may take.

Very nice, that has to be the icing on the cake for most of us who shoot a lot. Don’t know if I’ll ever get there, ($$$) but never having to leave your house for more air sure is tempting. Nice set up, congrats!
