No doubt i agree on the harris B.P. probably the best one out there. I was thinking weight wise, the harris has to be somewhere around twice the weight of the A.F? I guess it comes down to how much you’ll actually use it. If the answer is alot, go harris.

quote SAVAGESAM:

250 grams and 370 grams. How does that compare to the A.F. bi-pod? I have the A.F. bi-pod and it serves its purpose.

SAVAGE, my first bi pod was a used AF one, and it wobbled all over, joints were worn out, whatever, so I picked up a Harris clone similar to the ones linked here. I guess if you already have a new AF bi pod, it serves it’s purpose well, and wouldn’t be worth getting one of these, but if someone doesn’t have a bi pod at all yet, getting something like this may be the way to go as these can be about half the price of a AF bi pod and built more sturdy/rugged imho. Not to mention I think the Harris type ones just look better imho.

If that screw head is too big, you could always go to a store and buy a smaller screw to fit it.

If you do go that way, mount them as far back on the rail as possible, close to the foregrip. If you mount it all the way forwards, when you put pressure on it, it can slightly bend the barrel up, changing where you hit. So mount it close to the foregrip, and it won’t be a problem.

Your English is fine! I was going to use that AF stud myself, but I think the screw gets in the way or something, maybe someone else knows about that? It seems there’s some kind of problem using it, not sure. Most people here don’t seem to use it for some reason….

Sorry I’m not to much help on that one!

thanks Saugus18 🙂 i don’t speak/understand english very well 😳

do you know if this bipods can attach directly to this Airforce piece:

many thanks

Looks like there’s no difference in how either of those attach. Both of them attach to a swivel stud. You can just drill and tap a hole in the guns frame for stud, or get a 11mm adapter that attaches to frame, and drill and tap a hole in that to attach stud, so you don’t have to drill in the gun itself. The 2nd link looks similar to the bi-pod I have. No Harris style bi-pod I know of attaches directly to a 11mm rail. You need a stud.
