Q:

Just placed an order for Talon SS and some Ammo ;)

Well and addiction begins.

I am getting myself in the world of Compressed Air rifles =)

Placing an order from pyramid air as I type this.

1x Talon SS
1x Scuba Refill Clamp
1x CO2 adapter

2x Kodiak 21.1gr
2x JSB Predators
1x JSB Diabolo Jumbos 15.8

I have Leapers Accushot High mount and Leapers 4-16×50 scope waiting for it at home.

Also just picked up 80cf Scuba tank with current hydro and vis from craigs list today.

Have Scuba shop about 3 min down the road from me too.

… and now long and painful wait for Fedex man starts. I hate waiting, what order something i want it to be here yesterday. LOL.

Contacted Tony at Talon Tunes today.

I will be getting his custom shroud that will also fit 18inch barrel that I will be ordering as soon as they come back to stock at pyramyd.

=)

Tony sells the Wokbutt BTW.

Congrats on the purchase. Tony is the man.

Amazingly, my pellet holder actually works, even after like 6 months of use..

quote Snyder19:

you said you ordered a pellet holder
did you order the phillips one
my opinion is that they are a waste of money pellets always fall out of it it makes a way better cheek piece than holder not worth the 10 bucks you pay for it
im sure others here also feel the same way

You can get them in different thicknesses. Order from the website rather than Pyramyd and specify the one for .22 rimfire cartridges. Even .22 Eun Jin will not fall out, .25 Eun Jin will however.

Hope you have as much fun w/yours as I’ve had w/mine.
Try all the usual suspects, as far as pellets are concerned, as the guns are finicky, at least mine is.
Bought mine primarily for hunting, plinking out to 50 yards or so.
Favorite mod is shrp’s mini shroud.
Every time I get her out and start shooting, I think something is wrong she’s so quiet.
Anyway, have fun sending all that lead down range.

Tim had some AF 12″ .22 barrels for $10 and $15 with bushings. I got one and put it in my Condor today. I made up a real nifty and close fit arrangement to fit perfectly in the frame. The ID of the washers I used is only like .27″. With a home made set-up I hope I don’t get clipping. Too bad I don’t have air to test it. 🙁 I bet it will work quite well.

Thank you bud.

First thing is shooting. Then I want to make it as quiet as i can and do Valve mod to give it some more power!

You are in trouble now.

Next you need to go to the “Quick Reference” section and read up on how to quiet down that SS.

Here is a piece of advice….Don’t mess with it until you have shot it a bunch. If it is good to go just shoot and dont worry about chronograph. Just shoot and have fun. When you are done with that get a chronograph and fine tune your gun and then put it away and dont use it again.

The chronograph drives more airgunners nutters then anything else.

Also make yourself a silent trap to shoot into. That will get a ton of use.

bipod is on my list, but I want to go with Harris 6-9 inch one. ( I will be ordering dovetail to weaver adapter soon and tapping a sling stud on it)

Cant get everything at once you know, but trust me I sure want to.

I will be sending some money to Walkonking for little custom piece, but i want to get a rifle first and have a feel for it.

Also I ended up putting 1 tin of EUNJINs and Pellet holder on same order. =)

Now I just need to wait damnit !!!

Congrats looks like you’re ready to go. Don’t see a bi-pod on your list, not really nessesary of course if you mostly shoot off hand, but either way it makes for a nice stand for for your gun. Personally I wouldn’t dream of laying my gun down on it’s side anywhere unless it’s on my soft blanky lol.
