AF Shotgun?

Has anyone thought about, or tried a smoothbore barrell, fed with Gamo .22 shotshells, in an AF gun? I was looking at the Gamo video of their breal barrell, spring powered shotgun when this thought crossed my mind. My quary would be snakes in urban areas where the discharge of powder-burners is prohibited.

This would be a loud airgun, which brings us back to a variation of Llama’s question about lessening the report on a scattergun..a PCP scattergun that is. Nothing illegal of course.

It makes me wonder if a .30 caliber barrell could be chambered for .30 M-1 carbine and those cases be adapted similarly to the Gamo .22 type. That would deliver much more shot. Of course it would be catastrophic to chamber a live round and fire that round in an AF chamber. That would be a real bad day. Just a thought. This might be a good idea for a good machinist who likes the idea.
